About MSCPS

Built to servepeople in crisis.

MSCPS brings law enforcement, community partners, and direct support together for people with nowhere else to go.

Our Story

Help begins with basic needs.

Shelter. Food. Safety. Stability. These needs shape every MSCPS program.

The Mississippi Center for Police and Sheriffs provides shelter, safety, and outreach to victims of violent crime and people facing homelessness because of domestic violence, human trafficking, juvenile justice involvement, reentry from corrections, or medical vulnerability.

MSCPS develops programs that address the root causes and contributors to homelessness among people frequently encountered by law enforcement. The mission starts with food, shelter, and safety, which reduces the need for law enforcement engagement and gives people room to rebuild.

Current work includes emergency housing, transitional homes, food and supply distribution, rural community support, veterans housing, and assistance for partner organizations and government agencies across central Mississippi.
